Free things to do in London: Richmond Park

Sapevate che viaggiare non significa per forza spendere tantissimi soldi in biglietti per entrare nei musei, nelle chiese e nelle attrazioni principali?

Adoro che a Londra si possono visitare gratuitamente la maggior parte dei musei, fatta eccezione per le esposizioni temporanee.

Poi ci sono parchi, giardini, grattacieli e chi più ne ha più ne metta.

Oltre ai conosciuti Kensington Park, Hyde Park ecc… un parco che mi piace tantissimo è quello di Richmond, un po’ fuori dal centro di Londra ma davvero spettacolare.

Più che di un parco si tratta di un bosco naturale alle porte di Londra che può essere visitato tutti i giorni dell’anno.

Per arrivarci bisogna scendere alla fermata della metro Richmond. Camminare fino ad arrivare al parco è molto bello perché tutto questo quartiere di Londra è molto particolare e affascinante. Se invece preferite non camminare potete prendere il bus numero 375 o il 65.

La cosa che più mi piace di questo parco è la presenza delle renne che vivono libere nel loro habitat naturale e si possono vedere, avvicinare e magari anche accarezzare (ovviamente con cautela). Io ci sono stata d’inverno e anche se faceva freddo, è stato bellissimo camminare chilometri e chilometri alla ricerca delle renne, e a un tratto eccole, di ogni tipo in enormi distese di verde. È davvero una cosa spettacolare pensando poi che ci si trova a Londra!

Vi consiglio davvero di trascorrere una giornata in piena tranquillità nel parco di Richmond.

Do you know that it’s not necessary spending a lot of money when you travel around the world? There are a lot of things that you can do for free. For example in London the entrance of the most important museums are free! Then there are a lot of parks like Kensington Park, Hyde Park but also other place that sometimes tourists doesn’t know like the beautiful Richmond Park. It’s outside the city of London but it’s not so far.

To get there: metro station Richmond. Then you can walk until you arrive at the Park or you can get the bus number 375 or 65.

You can visit this park whenever you want during the year because it’s a natural wood just outside the city of London.

The thing I like the most of this park is the fact that you can see more than 700 reindeers! I love reindeers and seeing them in their natural habitat was amazing! And it was in London!

I have been here during winter time. I’ve walked a lot and then I finally saw them! You can also try to get closer but be always careful.
